I moved to Japan in September of 2004 by order of the US military.  Thank you US government.
I've been living in the Aomori Prefecture up until recently.  It's a very rural area and it is very expensive to get to Tokyo.
So getting to cosplay events was kind of difficult.  However, I did have the opportunity to teach part-time in an elementary school in Hachinohe City and was invited by several local highschools to vist thier cultural festivals, band concerts, and English club events to facilitate the use of English.  I was released from service in July to be a full-time university student in Tokyo.
